Welcome to e-dialogos  E-dialogos is a new and innovative website for open discussion that allows residents, and others who live and work within the limits of the Municipality of Trikala, be directly involved in the planning and implementation of policies and actions for their city.
Making a bold move, the City capitalizes on new technologies, and provides its citizens with the chance to express themselves in the easiest way. In e-dialogos you can stay informed about the City, discuss with your fellow-citizens and members of the City Council, express your opinion, follow live the City Council discussions and intervene. . What is edialogos and what can i do?
citizens and leaders of the City to cooperate in designing and implementing policies for the City. It includes three key tools that are mutually complemented: Electronic Surveys, collection e-signatures and Electronic Consultation.
E-voting: the process is started off by the Municipality
- In-depth questionnaires are uploaded on the e-dialogos webite in order to gain information on the opinions of the citizens on- and their satisfaction from- certain policies and actions of the Minicipality.
- Online polls make it easy to gather and analyze input from large numbers of participants even according to demographics.
E-Signatures: the process is started off by the citizens
- Our well-known petitioning, in its online form. Signatures are gathered in order to forward a matter to the Municipality.
- A citizen or a group of citizens can form a petition and all who agree can sign it online on the e-dialogos website. If the signatures gathered are over the required limit then the matter is forwarded to the Municipality and it is discussed by the council.
E-Deliberation: the process is started off by the Municipality. This is substantiated by three key tools provided through e-dialogos.
- In-depth, comprehensive information about all issues subject to discussions
- Web Discussions (E-Forum)
- Online Voting (E-Voting)
These three key elements are combined for a well-structured and well-rounded (in respect to time and issues) discussion, allowing the substantial participation of the citizens in the decision making process.
Consultation at a glance !
The consultation process is a democratic and structured dialogue in which each stage has a specific duration while the citizen also has the opportunity to be informed on the issues discussed. Put simply,
1. The City will initially raise some issues that it considers important to discuss and those will be voted by the citizens according to their importance. 2. Afterwards, the issues selected by the people will be up for 'public consultation':
- firstly in an open debate in the e-forum,
- secondly with questionnaires filled in by the public and,
- finally, by participating in the City Council meetings where they can voice their opinions through e-mail.

So, how can I participate and voice my opinion?
The process is simple and easy for all residents of Trikala wherever they live, and those who reside, work or study in Trikala and take interest in the issues of our city. |  |
I subscribe as a user : After accessing the site www.edialogos.gr, I click on "New User Registration" and fill out the registration form. This is necessary to be able to participate in all phases of the dialogue. You will be asked to optionally share some demographic information. We encourage all to complete them and help the City statistically analyze the opinions of citizens so as to draw useful conclusions to assist the policy making of the city. It should be stressed that the personal data of registered users are confidential and security measures have been made so that users can not be identified from their answers. Naturally, users can voice their opinions as often as they want during the debates in e-forums, but they can participate in e-votings just once. |  |
I stay informed on issues and results:Each issue under discussion is accompanied by concise and comprehensive information so that citizens have all the information they need to have an informed dialogue. At the same time, at the end of each phase, there will be a summary of results so that everyone can learn what and how many different views were expressed. It is worth noting that these reports will be submitted to the City Council and will form the basis on which the council will base its decisions. |  |
